Subject: Part-time Student Macroinvertebrate Monitoring Position

Hello,

I'm reaching out from the North Clackamas Watersheds Council, with an opportunity for Lewis & Clark Biology undergraduate and graduate students. We are looking to hire 2 Student Research and Education Assistants this fall to assist with field surveys on the Kellogg Creek Student Macroinvertebrate Monitoring Program.

This is a great opportunity for students interested in stream ecology and/or environmental education, and looking to gain field experience. This is a part-time position with approximately 15-30 hours between October - November, depending on student availability. All surveys take place during normal school hours (8 am - 4pm, M-F). Student Research Assistants will be working with students from 6th-12th grade, demonstrating stream macroinvertebrate survey techniques and helping students with macroinvertebrate identification. Previous experience with stream macroinvertebrate surveys is a bonus, but not required.

Interested students should reach out to our Community Science Coordinator, Peyton, at pey...@ncwatersheds.org to learn more!

Thanks!
