My name is Jillian and I am with the national organization FoodCorps. It’s that time again - our application for next year's cohort is open! And we would love to have your students apply.
We are currently recruiting FoodCorps Members for the 2026-2027 school year (August 3, 2026 - July 2, 2027). Our members partner with elementary schools and district leadership to engage students in hands-on food education and nourishing cafeteria projects—cooking demos, taste tests, gardening, and nutrition lessons. Our mission is to ensure all children have access to nourishing meals.
We believe this opportunity is particularly valuable for students seeking experience in fields like nutrition, agriculture, public health or K-12 education. We’re reaching out to ask for your help in sharing this opportunity with students and colleagues who may be interested. We're especially looking for candidates with strong community connections.
