Hi, all,

I hope you're enjoying your spring break! I wanted to call your attention to some exciting events happening NEXT WEEK and the following week.

Among the highest priorities in the College's strategic planning is the development of a new Environmental Innovation Center that will span all three schools. Four candidates for Director of the soon-to-be-born Center are each spending a day on campus to meet with students, faculty, staff, and campus leadership, and I want to be sure you have a chance to spend time with them.

I hope you saw the email from the President's Office last Friday afternoon announcing the visits. **IN ADDITION** to the four noontime sessions announced in that email (recapped below), there will be multiple open sessions for faculty, staff, and students to meet the candidates and ask questions. We're hoping that will allow everyone to get to one and that there will be a good mix of people at each one. Details of each are below -- please sign up!

1. Noontime sessions: Each of these will begin with a short presentation (~20 minutes) by each candidate. Here is the schedule with links to RSVP:

Please RSVP now for each event you plan to attend:

  • Candidate 1: Monday, March 30, noon-1 p.m., Albany Quadrangle #218
  • Candidate 2:  Wednesday, April 1, noon-1 p.m., Albany Quadrangle #218
  • Candidate 3: Monday, April 6, noon -1 p.m., Albany Quadrangle #220
  • Candidate 4: Thursday, April 9, noon-1 p.m., Albany Quadrangle #218

2. Open sessions for faculty, staff, and students to meet the candidates and ask questions: The schedule of these sessions is here. Please feel free to sign up for any of them, whether they're held at the Law School or CAS. (Please use the RSVP forms above for the noontime sessions; they are simply shown in this sheet for completeness.) We're hoping there will be a good mix of people at each one.

Please let me or Janice Weis (jw...@lclark.edu) know if you have any questions! We hope to see you at the various sessions.

Best,
Liz
