Envoy Mobile

Hi Envoy community,

As some of you are already aware, the Envoy project includes Envoy Mobile, a client networking library based on the core Envoy proxy, aimed at mobile applications initially developed by the team at Lyft.

At Google, we've been continuing to work on Envoy Mobile, getting it production ready for launching as the client networking library for YouTube.  We're happy to report that the YouTube iOS app is currently using Envoy Mobile with 10% of global traffic and we're in the process of pushing the launch to 100% of traffic, with the metrics showing improvement over YouTube's existing client networking stack.  YouTube Android is soon to follow.

We wanted to gauge:

1. Are there any current users of the open-source Envoy Mobile project?

2. Is anyone potentially interested in using or trying out Envoy Mobile for their client networking needs?
