Hi All,

When start envoy service, except apply log level with command -l/--log-level,  can we add a new field of log level in envoy config file, and parsing this field in Envoy itself when it reads the config file and apply log level setting. This value will override any value specified on command line with ‘-l’. In production environments, it's more convenient to change the log level by config file than edit the start script.

    Thanks,
     Yujie

Hi Yujie,

The log level can be set using the admin interface, see: https://www.envoyproxy.io/docs/envoy/latest/operations/admin#post--logging

Regards,
Adi
