Envoy performance tuning?

Hello,

We'd like to benchmark Envoy against a few proxies, but would like to see if we are setting up Envoy correctly to get the best performance out of it. Our current setup is very simple:

Run native Envoy container with image from "envoyproxy/envoy:latest"

And use the static config provided by the go-control-plane. 

Without digging into the hardware setup, I wonder if there are any Envoy knobs I should tune? Any pointers are appreciated.
