Please be advised that The Town of Kentville has publicly released the
Envision Kentville: Sustainability Survey Findings Report.
Over the duration of the summer, 296 Kentville citizen participated in
verifying and prioritizing community-identified sustainability assets
and issues through a door to door sustainability survey, as a part of
the Envision Kentville sustainability planning process.
The Survey Findings Report fully documents these survey results.
Please find the full Report available at:
http://www.kentville.ca/documents/icsp/envisionkentvillephasetwo.pdf
The community identified sustainability priorities will form a
foundational part of the Kentville Integrated Community Sustainability
Plan (ICSP). The ICSP is a mandatory requirement of all Canadian
municipalities in order to continue to access federal Gas Tax funds.
It is hoped that you will take a few minutes to review this Report
that contains a summary of Kentville citizens’ identified priority
sustainability assets and issues.
The next phase of the Envision Kentville ICSP process will include
continued community engagement to identify goals, actions, timelines
and indicators of success in the identified priority areas.
Ongoing community feedback in this process is welcomed and you are
encouraged to submit your written or verbal comments to the
sustainability coordinator.
Also, the sustainability coordinator will be on-hand for public
engagement activities at the Kentville Farmer’s Market &
Sustainability Fair (September 30) and the Harvest Festival (October
3).
Best Regards,
Brennan Vogel
