EARTH HOUR
At 8:30pm on this Saturday March 28, 2009 - the Town of Kentville is pleased to join millions worldwide in celebrating Earth Hour.
Earth Hour is a global lights-out initiative led by World Wildlife Federation that encourages people to turn off their lights for one hour to show their support in the fight against climate change. Last year, Earth Hour was a huge success with more than 50 countries participating worldwide and in Canada almost 10 million people participated in more than 150 cities from coast-to-coast. This year, the Town of Kentville is pleased to join in and take action on climate change by supporting this important event and encouraging Citizens of Kentville to participate in Earth Hour.
As a participant in Earth Hour, this means you will:
Show you care by taking action today for a better tomorrow!
