Hi Davids,

If you guys are planning on doing any prepping for the SVN courses
during the summer, I'd be interested in working with you. Let me
know. I know for sure that we will be running the SVN 3M0 course in
2nd semester (I will be teaching this course for sure) with ~25
students. Our SVN 3E0 course in semester 1 may be cancelled since it
currently only has 8 students enrolled, but we don't know for sure
yet.

Hi Jason and Environmental Science Colleagues:

I will be writing curriculum for SVN3E0 this August. My course will be
part of our OEE (Outdoor and Experiential Education) Program at
PASNorth. Students will be gathering a significant amount of data
including water samples, soil samples, air quality tests, noise
pollution data and water table info. They will also be using GPS and
GIS to plan tree planting and map data for regions in Brampton,
Toronto Island, Inglewood, Rockwood, Terra Cotta and Georgian Bay.

1. Jason, how shall I contact you?

2. Who else is interested in working with us on SVN3E0 and SVN3M0?

I look forward to your responses.

Hi:

As an FYI - if you go to the edvantageinteractive site they have a pilot course written for the 3E course posted. You may be able to use some of the materials there.

Cheers, Beth

I mentioned this to Jason already, but for anyone else interested there is a workshop in Mattawa at the Canadian Ecology Centre. It is a 3 day session pertaining to the SVN 3E and 3M courses. I have included the link. Both Jason and I have applied (no word back just yet).

I am planning to have my 3M course roughed out by then (July 29-31) and get some input up there. After some feedback, I hope to refine it in August (any input will be welcome) I will start posting ideas on the Google Groups page "EnvironmentalScienceOntario"
