Determine the reasons for the apparent decline in our near shore fisheries and implement appropriate action to ensure thriving fisheries resources for the future.

Legislation to Give DOCARE the authority to inspect closed containers when enforcing regulations

Stop the unlimited extraction of reef fish in Hawaii for the aquarium trade--no limit on the catch, no limit on the number of catchers, no constraints on rare, vanishing or endemic species--not even a single permit requirement or count on eels, hermit crabs & other invertebrates shipping out massively every day to the mainland, Europe & Asia. Prohibit the use of gill nets and throw nets in our estuarian bays.  Specifically, Kaneohe Bay, Hilo Bay and Lihue Harbor.
