Apossible solution: I tried downloading the ubuntu "orig" package and then tried patching it with the ubuntu attached "diff" file, but I'm surely doing something wrong, as it seems to only create some files but not modifying the driver source files. I need help on patching that source code and then I can probably create a package in AUR for the device driver.

The ubuntu patched files are on

I have the same problem with the original card driver.

After replacing the original driver by the one provided by Ubuntu the error (open port 200000 failed) was gone and the reader recognised my card when inserted.

I've downloaded the ACR38U-I1 android driver from the official page. The the downloaded zip file there is a sample apk to test the reader. My tried to read a infineon SLE4428 card with the sample app.I followed these steps:

Once you download your new driver, then you need to install it. To install a driver in Windows, you will need to use a built-in utility called Device Manager. It allows you to see all of the devices recognized by your system, and the drivers associated with them.

In the Device Manager window, locate the device for which you want to install or update the driver. You can find devices under their respective categories, such as Display adapters, Sound, Video and Game Controllers, or Network adapters.

Click on the Browse button and navigate to the location where you saved the downloaded driver files. Select the appropriate driver file and click OK. Then, click Next to begin the installation process.

Many device drivers are not updated through the Microsoft Windows Update service. If you are having trouble finding the right driver, stop searching and fix driver problems faster with the Automatic Driver Update Utility. Automatic updates could save you hours of time.

The Driver Update Utility automatically finds, downloads and installs the right driver for your hardware and operating system. It will Update all of your drivers in just a few clicks, and even backup your drivers before making any changes.

When the scan finishes, you'll see a list of outdated or missing drivers on your system. You can choose to fix one driver at a time, or you can fix all of them at once by clicking a single button:

If you have had recent crashes, power outages, viruses or other computer problems, it is likely that your drivers may have become damaged. Browse the list above to find the driver that matches your device hardware. To see more matches, use our custom driver search engine to find the exact driver.

The ACR38U PCSC Driver is a software program developed by Advanced Card Systems Ltd. for use with their smart card readers. The driver is designed to enable communication between the smart card reader and a computer's operating system, a necessary step for reading data from smart cards.

The driver supports various smart card types, including ISO 7816 Class A, B, and C cards, and offers API support that allows developers to create software applications that can interact with the reader. It is compatible with Windows, Linux, and macOS operating systems.

The ACR38U PCSC driver is commonly used in various industries and applications that require secure access control and identification, such as digital signature and authentication, online banking, and e-commerce transactions. The driver's compatibility with a wide range of smart cards makes it a versatile option for businesses and organizations that require the use of different smart cards.

Hi, I have an old Smart Card Read SW which works in Windows XP long time ago. Now I use WIndows 10 to execute the same SW and get error "6" for all, except the first "SCardEstablishContent". Any help will be appreciated. My Smart Card Reader is SCR38.

It seems Windows10 64-bit doesn't recognize the card. I check the driver (version 2018) has been installed and Device Manager shows the driver is there. I guess the problem is not on CLFN but the driver or Microsoft .dll. It is not easy to tell what is the root cause.

No luck with different Data Byte. I add "iReturn" to see error and shows 80100004 which means "One or more of the supplied parameters could not be properly interpreted". Don't know where is the supplied parameters. I guess the supply .llb is unmactched with Windows 10.

Het is mogelijk dat je besturingssysteem de drivers van sommige eID kaartlezers niet automatisch kan installeren. Deze drivers kan je hieronder downloaden. Alle informatie over de installatie van je eID kaartlezer lees je hier.

An electronic identification ("eID") is an electronic identification solution of citizens or organizations, for example in view to access benefits or services provided by government authorities, banks or other companies. Apart from online authentication many eICs also give users the option to sign electronic documents with a digital signature.

which should open a window. In the window, check that the "PCSC daemon status" is "running". If it is not the case, start pcscd.service. In the same window, copy the value for "PKCS#11 location".This value can alternatively be found by first finding the module (which might be beidpkcs11.so) by doing:

For Firefox, add the Firefox plugin to your browser. In recent versions, you will need to manually add the eID module to the Firefox security devices configuration. Your module path might be different than the one in the guide, use the value of "PKCS#11 location" found with the instructions at the authentication paragraph.

Depending on your system configuration it may be possible to run Adobe Reader DC under wine (see also the official FAQ on digital digital signatures). If using Adobe Reader is not possible, you can use Belgian Federal Public Services' "signing box". Using this service requires the installation of an extra eID middleware and extension by e-contract.be. Navigate to the signing box page, upload any pdf-file and attempt to add a digital signature to begin the installation process.

Once ccid and opensc is installed and pcscd.socket is started, install qdigidoc4AUR. One of the dependency xml-security-cAUR is verified with a signature that you have to import to your GnuPG keyring. If you have an ACS card reader, acsccid is required.

To enable PIN 1 authentication in Firefox you should install esteidpkcs11loaderAUR, web-eid-nativeAUR, web-eid-chromeAUR and web-eid-firefoxAUR. The last 3 packages are a successor of chrome-token-signingAUR, so you should remove it if it's installed. To install those packages, you need to import the relevant PGP keys. You can do it with this command:

First install the prequisites as described in #Installation. Then install vrk-mpollux-digisign-clientAUR. Launch the client, connect your reader and put in your card. Click the icon in your status bar once it turns yellow. This should trigger the card activation process if you have not activated it before.

For some devices, you need to install pcsc-cyberjackAUR and copy the default configuration file /etc/pcsc-cyberjack/cyberjack.conf.default to the same folder, without the .default suffix. Restart pcsc.service and applications like ausweisapp2AUR should recognize the scanner. The ReinerSCT RFID will blink its LED, which it does not when the driver is not installed correctly.

Along with the rapid growth of technology comes the increasing prevalence of electronic data theft. This emphasizes the need to secure electronic data, thus necessitating the integration of smart card technology into current IT infrastructures. Following this trend, the ACR38 Smart Card Reader Series combines sophisticated technology and modern design to meet stringent requirements in smart card-based applications, such as payment systems and electronic identification, where a high level of security has increasingly been deemed essential.

Being compliant with the CCID specification, the ACR38 Series offers a plug-and-play solution that eliminates the need for driver installation and driver-system compatibility assessment. Its USB interface facilitates communication between a computer and a smart card very easily, allowing for a seamless implementation of smart-card based applications in a PC environment.

ACR38 also offers an optional built-in Security Access Module (SAM) slot-ACR38U-SAM that supports various high security applications. It is also available in different casing designs, including the new ACR38U-I1 which is now FIPS 201 certified and TAA compliant. In addition, ACR38 also has an alternative reader module form (ACM38)
