Textfield - Remote possible?

Hi, I have got one Question:

Is it possible to remote the textfield from an other program?

....maybe to open the file and insert a new text or changing text .....like a countdown?

i have noticed that the Text input in the Textfield in ELM (directly) goes direct to the LED without ENTER

......so the Idea was to have also a direct Remote Access to the Text maybe from Lightjams or Cantabile

is there a way to do this?

Hi,

There's no way to update the text remotely at the moment. You could edit the project file but ELM would need to reload the project. In the future, a way to update the text via OSC or HTTP may be possible. But nothing planned so far.

Use the SPOUT or NDI media element and send "text" or images of text via SPOUT or NDI, I've used Processing to create a spout client and sender coupled with OSC for exactly this purpose.
