Location:
NYC, NY
Duration:
Long term
Role Overview
We are seeking a Lead
SharePoint Developer with deep expertise in SharePoint Online, SPFx,
React, and Microsoft 365 development patterns.
This role is hands-on and focused on delivering high-quality SharePoint
solutions, custom components, and integrations—not enterprise
architecture ownership.
The ideal candidate is a senior engineer with 5+ years of experience and
capable of guiding development efforts, implementing complex SPFx solutions,
and integrating AI capabilities using Copilot Studio.
Key Responsibilities
SharePoint & SPFx
Development
- Lead the development of
custom SPFx web parts, extensions, and application customizers using React,
TypeScript, and Fluent UI.
- Implement responsive and
modern UI components using CSS frameworks (Fluent UI, Bootstrap,
Tailwind).
- Customize and extend
SharePoint Online site pages, lists/libraries, content types, and
permissions using built‑in features and SPFx.
- Develop reusable code
components, libraries, and patterns for team-wide use.
- Support site‑level
governance: permissions modeling, secure content structures, and
SharePoint information architecture alignment.
- Implement performance‑optimized SPFx
solutions: lazy loading, code‑splitting, caching, CDN optimization.
- Build integrations
with Microsoft Graph, SharePoint REST, and third‑party APIs
using secure, token‑based authentication.
- Perform advanced data
shaping using PnPjs, Graph client SDK, or internal REST
services.
Microsoft 365 & Copilot
Studio Integration
- Build and integrate Copilot
Studio agents, actions, plugins, and custom connectors into SharePoint
experiences.
- Implement AI‑driven
features inside SPFx components to enhance search, content workflows, and
user interactions.
- Ensure secure, governed
access to Microsoft 365 data when connecting Copilot or AI extensions.
- Integrate Copilot
Studio agents securely within SPFx to support context‑aware AI
workflows, generative UI patterns, and automation triggers.
Technical Leadership &
Delivery
- Serve as the lead
developer on SharePoint projects, guiding junior developers and peer
contributors.
- Review code for quality,
performance, and adherence to best practices.
- Troubleshoot complex
issues across SPFx, SharePoint Online, and Microsoft 365 APIs.
- Collaborate with
designers, product owners, platform teams, and business stakeholders to
deliver high-quality features.
Documentation & Deployment
- Produce technical
documentation covering designs, component behavior, and deployment steps.
- Manage CI/CD pipelines
using GitHub or Azure DevOps—build, package, and deploy SPFx solutions.
- Maintain versioning,
code quality, and operational readiness through well-structured ALM
practices.
