Section 1: Common business related legal issues for start-ups
Speaker: Timothy Cutler, President and founder of Cutler P.C. will address key issues
including entity selection, management issues, fiduciary duties.

Section 2: Patent
How to protect your technology?
Speaker: Peter Stecher, Partner at Gesmer Updegrove LLP.  Studied electrical engineering at MIT, Peter is taking action to support the entrepreneurial culture at MIT.

Section 3: China vs. US
How to successfully navigating in different legal environment? How to start a company with non-citizen status?
Speaker: Tina Tian, Attorney at MT Law LLC. has multiple years of practicing experience in both US and in China, including business law, immigration etc.

Section 4: Case Study

June Chang, Founder of Eventdove.com, an event solution provider.  June will share her personal experiences and knowledge on how to start a business in China, procedures to register a company in China, labor laws as well as her professional relationship with the Chinese government.



Each section will be composed of a 20-30 min presentation and a 10 min Q&A.  You are also more than welcome to network with our speakers, CHIEF members and other participants after the seminar.
