I have been playing this game for over a year now, and am thouroughly stumped as to how to go about killing the final enemie entities. I can kill an etan, half-giant even, what about a plant, no problem? I have done this several times with several parties. Now I am getting close again and close to defeat. If anyone can give me an audio pointer or any hints it’d be much appreciated. I’d at least like to say I have beaten the game once.

*sighs deeply*

Now that the formalities are over with. Proceed at your own risk.

When it comes to the final battle, there is a tactic that usually works. You
should almost always take out the blue crystal first. Otherwise it will put
any defeated crystal back together, or summon alisa's bones if you happen to
kill her. After that, the red one is next, followed by the white. Then focus
your fury on Alisa. Try to keep her silenced, slowed, shrunk, and cursed if
you can. distracted and confused also doesn't hurt.

If all fails, reload and try again.

Good luck.

If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving is not for you.

Definitely take out the blue crystal first. It's the same principle as
when you encounter a group of enemies that includes a Necromancer.
Take out the Necromancer first. Once all the crystals are gone focus
on Alissa. If you're lucky you can kill her before she transforms, the
only down side to wich would be that you'll miss out on the epic
battle music. She's got some pretty nasty attacks in her second form
though, so definitely watc yourself.

Hi folks

Let me begin by saying I'm running a W7 64 bit machine. The other
day I installed the older version of Entombed. I think iit was 102j and
for whatever screwball reason my sounds aren't right. That is to say
I'm not hearing the steps or the wind. Any ideas?

TIA

Well, I don't remember there being any issue with the sounds and that
version. One general thing I could think of is to check your sound card's
settings. If you're playing while using headphones, but you have your sound
card set to 5.1 surround sound, at least on an older XP machine I had a
similar issue happen a while back. Just flip it to 2.1 and the problem
should go away, just remember to switch back to 5.1 when you want to use
your surround sound speakers, grin.
