Hello again.
Does anyone have a copy of the Entombed cheats list, like the one that
lets you have as many characters as you choose and the one that lets
you keep a certain piece of equipment from one game to the next? If
so, would you mind sending it my way please? It seems both my brother
and I have lost our copies.
No, neither one of us is trying to cheat our way through this race,
it's just that Brent has a piece of equipment he wants to hold on to
if he can, and neither of us can find the cheats list to save our
lives. Any help would be very much appreciated!

Hi, here's two of the cheats I know of, one is the army cheat and the other
is the doubling cheat/bug.

CHEAT - THE DOUBLING BUG:
1. After you clear a floor, save your game. Best if you are standing on a
blank space wit nothing else on it. Usually, I am standing in the doorway of
the room with the stairs leading down.
2. Go back to town via the orb.
3. Once you are done in town with any business, go down the stairs to the
3rd floor.
4. Press the f1 key to return to your original location.
5. Drop any scrolls, potions, or anything you want to duplicate. Have never
been able to duplicate armor or weapons. But anything in the expendables
list, and arrows.
6. Pick up those dropped items.
7. Once all items are picked up, press the G key again and pick up all the
items again. This time, the items will be doubled. So first time, you pick
up 1 of each, next time 2, then 4 , 8 , 16, and so on. repeat as necessary.

Army Cheat:

This cheat was done using a Windows XP machine. I do not know what other
operating systems will be like in terms of where folders and files may be
located.
Remember that folders and files are sometimes labeled similar, so it is
important to notice the file or folder description after the named item in
question which I will put in quotes.
For example "Entombed Saves" folder is diffrent then the "EntombedSave.sav"
file even though they sound similar.

The first thing one needs to do is look in the "My Documents" folder.
Inside "My Documents" folder should be a folder called "Saved Games".

That "Saved Games" folder is the folder that holds all the Entombed Game
folder and save files.

Below is the folder and file breakdown of what is in the "Saved Games"
folder.

A. Inside the "Saved Games" folder is the "Entombed" folder.
B. Inside the "Entombed" folder is the "Entombed Saves" folder
C. Inside the "Entombed Saves" folder is the "All Players" folder
D. Inside the "All Players" folder is a bunch of files. These files are:
1. "EntombedWorld.Dat" file
2. "EntombedSave.Sav" file
3. "EntombedPreferences.Dat" file
4. "EntombedHsh.dat" file
5. "EntombedGlobal.Dat" file
6. "EntombedBones.Dat" file

Try to get aquainted with these folders.
When you feel confident in moving forward then follow these steps.

1. Start up the game Entombed. You need to either start a new game, or
reload a saved game that was on or above level 2. Once you have your primary
character ready to go on the first floor, save your game using either the F5
or the escape button menu. I am not sure where those would be located on a
laptop, since I use a full size keyboard for my own laptop.

2. Do what you normally do until you get to the second floor and have
rescued the first rescueable companion.

3. Save your game.

4. Open up the "My Documents" folder. Leave the Entombed game on.

5. Find the "Saved Games" folder that is inside the "My Documents" folder.

6. Go into the "Saved Games" folder. You will see the "Entombed" folder is
inside.
7. Go into the "Entombed" folder. You will see that the "Entombed Saves"
folder is inside.

8. Go into the "Entombed Saves" folder. You will see the "All Players"
folder inside.

9. Go into the "All Players" folder. You will find various files inside the
"All Players" folder. These are:
"EntombedWorld.Dat" file
"EntombedSave.Sav" file
"EntombedPreferences.Dat" file
"EntombedHsh.dat" file
"EntombedGlobal.Dat" file
"EntombedBones.Dat" file

You only need to deal with one file in the "All Players" folder. That is the
"Entombed.sav" file.

10. Cut the "EntombedSave.sav" file using whatever method works for you.

11. Paste the "entombedSave.sav" file into the "Entombed Saves" folder.

I only know how to do this in jaws. What I do is I go up the folders till
I hear the "Entombed Saves" folder which is inside the "Entombed" folder.
I make sure I am on "Entombed Saves" folder and that Jaws didn't tell me it
was unselected. If it is, I either move my arrow keys up and down, or I hit
the space key and then I open up the application menu and select paste, and
press enter. Other screen readers might do this diffrently I don't know.

12. Inside the "Entombed Saves" folder you should see...
"EntombedSave.sav" file
"All players" folder

This means that the "EntombedSave.sav" file is missing from inside the "All
Players" folder. This is what you want.

13. Go back to the still running Entombed game. In jaws it is Alt+ tab keys.

14. return to the title options, and start a new game. You can select
whatever primary character you wish, with the only thing you have to
remember is that if you pick good guys, you will find good rescueable
companions. If you choose evil guys you will get evil rescueable characters.

What happens when you start this new game, is that your previous world
map, is gone replaced with a new world map. On that world map is your new
companions on the second and fifth level.
So when you create this new character and game, it is like you are resetting
the old dungeon, only it is a new dungeon with a diffrent map.

15. As soon as the characters crime is spoken and the doors are shut
closed, save the game.

16. Switch back to "My Documents" which should still be open. You should
actually be inside the "Entombed Saves" folder. If you are not , you need to
go inside that folder so that you can access the "EntombedSave.sav" file.

17. Copy, not cut, the "EntombedSave.sav" file and paste it into the "All
Players" folder. What this does is put your original primary character and
first rescued companion into that new world map that had been reset.
If you do this successfully your computer should ask if you want to copy
over the file already in the "All Players" folder. Click yes. You see, it
doesn't matter if that new game you made still exists since the data is all
in a diffrent file which I think is the "EntombedWorld.dat" file.

18. Once done with that, switch back to your entombed game.

19. immediatly do nothing else, except to select "reload" on the options
menu. If you do not reload the game, you will not get your primary character
and first companion into that new world map.

20. Once reloaded, you will see your primary character plus the first
rescued companion. Your party will be wandering around in a totally diffrent
map. Wander about this map on the second floor until you find and rescue
that second rescueable companion. You need to defeat the critters keeping
that next companion hostage.
After beating the thugs. Your new second companion will be part of your
group. You will now have three sentient beings, and a pet in your party.

Ok, so far so good. The rest you have to just go slow, don't rush and think
it thru.

20. Once you have your new guy, save the game. Push the save button several
times if you have to to make sure the party is saved. What this does, is
overwrites the "entombedSave.sav" file you previously pasted into the "All
Players" folder which overwrote that new game you made to reset the dungeon.
But now you are going to do this again manually.

21. Once saved, switch back to the "My Documents" folder which should be
open and in fact you should be in the "Entombed Saves" folder which
currently shows the "All Players" folder and the "EntombedSave.sav" file
This file is the one with the two sentient beings and one dog game save. You
are about to grab the new "EntombedSave.sav" file with the three sentient
beings and one dog game.

22. Go inside the "All Players" folder. Inside that folder you will see the
files I listed before. The "entombedSave.sav" file is among them. Select
that file and Cut it.

23. You will now back out from the inside of the "All Players" folder. Paste
the "EntombedSave.sav" file you just cut into the "Entombed Saves" folder.
This will once again ask if you want to overwrite the old file. Click yes.

24. If you did this correctly, the "EntombedSave.sav" file you see next to
the "All Player" folder and both being inside the "Entombed Saves" folder
will be the new game which has your primary character, two rescued
companions and your pet.

25. Now you are set up to continue gaining new companions. If you are done
getting your army together, all you have to do is copy the
"EntombedSave.sav" file that is in the "Entombed Saves" folder and paste it
into the "All Players" folder. Go back to the game and reload and you will
have your army!

The biggest thing you must remember is to save and reload when you are
supposed to. If you do not save and reload when you should, this will mess
up the cheat and most likely you will have to start over. So make very
certain you save and reload when you are directed to.

Ok, so that is the full completion of gaining a single extra character.
Just keep repeating the process to get even more characters. Try to think it
thru as well, that helps you figure out where your current
"Entombed.Save.sav" file should be located.
