Moodle Integration with EnterMedia Db

Dear all  , we have successfully integrated EntermediaDb with our moodle installation but the client needs more specific request where i can't find in the documentation . We have Roles and Permissions in moodle they don't have any relation with Entermedia Db Roles anfd permissions . So My Question is Can we with any way Integrate the Roles and permissions from our moodle installation to affect on Entermedia Db  for example  . 

we have a teacher who made a new external tool that will display a collection and this external tool inside a topic under course , as we know course have some students they will login with their credentials into their accounts and will find the external tool link to open . so i need them when they try to open the link of our external tool ( collection ) i need to check if the incoming request is from student or not  ( student is a role in moodle ) i need to check the role of the incoming request what the role of the requester .

Thank you so much for testing and figuring out how to integrate Moodle!  That’s wonderful!  We would love to update any documentation, if you could send us any information/screenshots regarding the details of how this was done!

Are you using LTI? For LTI authentication currently depend on users already being set up in EnterMedia and having that define what role they are in.  You can speed up that process by using and importing a spreadsheet for the faculty user/role information, so that you don’t have to add each one individually.  You can then set it up so that all new/other users would automatically be treated as “student” role.

To automatically create all users with the correct role, we would have to customize the LTI authentication Java code to grab and assign the group or role information based on what’s included in the LTI request.  To do this, we would need someone to sponsor the work by buying or using points towards it.  Please email he...@entermediadb.org to begin that process.
