Hi Daniel,
this looks like an awesome release! Thanks!
Have you considered using flatpak for distributing it? If not I would like to give it a try. I would love to see Entangle available in more distros and in https://flathub.org .

I have looked at building flatpak but the chain of dependancies
needed todo a good job is quite large, and I didn't fancy building
all of them. I was hoping that some mechanism would be developed
to let you build flatpaks from existing distro packages to avoid
all this wasted build effort.

I will give it a try then. Yes, for apps like Entangle building the dependencies can be hard. I don't think a tool for building flatpaks from distro packages exists.

Hey Daniel,
it seems there is a tool to convert from RPM to flatpak, see:

Although it won't make a flatpak to be distributed in flathub.org .

Hi,

I managed to build Entangle as a flatpak. The UI is displayed, but I couldn't connect my Canon camera yet. While I debug this, I opened a PR for discussion hete: https://github.com/flathub/flathub/pull/1171

I really appreciate you doing the work to create the flatpak for me !

I put a few comments on the PR which might help you debug the problems
further. Let me know if I can help in any other way.
