Hi,

first of all thank you very much for this nice peace of software!!!

Unfortunately I'm not that much in pogramming so I just can formulate a
feature-wish:

  * The following feature(s) would be amazing:
      o Preview:
          + Rotate (90°)
          + Flip (horizontal, vertical)
          + Zoom with mouse
+ (define the point to focus - I'm not sure this is possible
            with libg2photo)

  * Change the destination of the files captured

Thanks anyway!

Greets

Thomas

These two should be easy and I really should have worked on this before
as it irritates me too

This is a little harder as there's variance between cameras. Some
have native support for zooming, but I can't see how to control
the region it zooms on. My own camera (an admittedly very old Nikon
D90) only does low resolution preview so software zoom will just
result in pixelation. I can assume modern cameras have higher
res preview and just do software zoom regardless.

There is an API to choose the focus point. The massive problem though
is that there's no information on focus point layout AFAIR. We just
get a list of 50-100 (or more) focus points, which is pretty useless.

Can you elaborate on that ? We can already choose the local folder
that files are saved into from the toolbar/menubar - "Select session"

Hi,

Zoomed view would be very welcome indeed, at least for Canon users (don't know if it applies to other brands as well). In zoomed view a given zone of the sensor is shown with 5× or 10× magnification and this is not a software-extrapolated view but rather sensor data from this region with native resolution. This means it can advantageously be used to precisely focus on this part of the picture. AFAIK the gphoto2 library allows for this and it is implemented in e.g. Darktable.

Also, video recording would be a great feature if technically possible.

Best greetings,

Levente
