Concetto di pubblicazione volante

Nelle guide leggo "Predisponi per la pubblicazione volante: permette
di visualizzare pagine con Contenuti non collegati ad altre pagine".
Non mi è molto chiaro questo concetto. Magari sarebbe utile un esempio
a tal proposito.

that option is part of one of the fundant themes in the world of jAPS,
since its very start.
I'll try to keep it short and clear, as much as I can.
- Unlike the vast majority of other portals, Content and Page are two
separate concepts.
- A Content must be placed into a Page, if you want that Content to
be "published". In that Page you have to put a Showlet called
"Contents - Publish a Content", and then configure it choosing the
Content to be plublished and the Content Model of your choice.
- What if I want to serve a Content which I have not previously
placed in a Page as above? (One of my Breaking News, for instance)
Easy!

- So I provided my portal with a page for on-the-fly publishing for
every Content Type
- So, when I was creating that page, I checked "Configure for
on-the-fly publishing" and the magic was ready to be spelled
That Page now has a Showlet "Contents - Publish a Content" still
unconfigured, and is jAPS - not me - that calls the proper Page which
contains the proper Showlet... which is properly configured with the
right Content and Content Model *at runtime* every time I ask for an
on-the-fly publishing of a Breaking New.
