Ilcorso integrato composto da due moduli: Fisica e Statistica. Al termine del modulo di Fisica lo studente sar in grado di comprendere i meccanismi fisici alla base dei problemi medici. Sar in grado di utilizzare le informazioni quantitative e la modellazione derivata dai fenomeni fisici per comprendere i sistemi biomedici. Al termine del modulo di Statistica lo studente sar in grado di applicare il metodo statistico ai dati clinici. Per ciascuno degli argomenti trattati, lo studente acquisir i concetti teorici (OBIETTIVO DI APPRENDIMENTO 1).

The integrated course is composed of two modules: the Physics module and the Statistics module. At the end of Physics module the student will be able to understand the physics mechanisms underlying the medical problems. He will be able to use the quantitative information and the modeling derived from the physics phenomena to better understand the biomedical systems. At the end of the Statistics module the student will be able to apply statistical method to the clinical data

Saranno proposti una serie di estratti da articoli scientifici pubblicati ed esercizi di cui verranno fornite spiegazioni e dettagliate soluzioni. Alcune delle attivit saranno svolte in classe ed altre potranno essere svolte autonomamente dagli studenti.

The theory will be presented through lectures (LEARNING ONJECTIVE 1).During the lectures the teacher will present and discuss examples taken from the medical literature (LEARNING ONJECTIVE 2).A number of exercises with the solutions will be available to students. Some will be discussed in class (LEARNING ONJECTIVE 3).

Fisica e Statistica Medica e' un corso integrato. L'esame dei due moduli va sostenuto contestualmente. Gli appelli dei due moduli sono pertanto fissati nelle stesse date. Il voto finale viene determinato in base alla media ponderata dei voti conseguiti nell'esame dei rispettivi moduli.

La prova di Fisica puo' essere sia scritta che orale (a discrezione del docente). In entrambe le modalita' viene richiesto allo studente di risolvere alcuni esercizi numerici su argomenti relativi al programma svolto.
