HelpWhen I updated to Windows 10, my Wi-Fi quit working. I have a good Wi-Fi connection for other devices in the house. In network & security, I can only see the ethernet option. I can see the Wi-Fi adapter is the Ralink RT-3290 802.11 bgn wi-fi driver which is a windows 7 driver. I tried updating the drivers in the HP assistant but the reply is that I have the latest drivers (that HP has....) I have looked everywhere and am unable to find the windows 10 driver. Thanks everybody. Jim
When i ran the .exe file you provided, it set up the C:SWSETUP folder. I wasn't sure what to do with the folder but ran the setup.exe. It started to execute then just went away. I restarted my computer just in case it worked but no luck with a wireless connection coming up in the Network&security and same ol drivers present on my system.
That was the one and only W10 driver they made for that card, and what is happening two years down the road, with all these new updates to W10, some hardware no longer works because the manufacturers won't update the drivers.
Appreciate your help and additional info, especially about the USB device if I need it. In your last post, you said to go to device manager >> network & security >>>then select my ralink wi-fi card. That is not a choice. All I have under that area is the following:
Your screenshot shows that the Ralink wifi card has completely disappeared from the device manager, which is a common problem with that wifi card, and any subsequent updates of W10 from the original version that came out in July of 2015.

Then most likely you need to first install the HP Wireless Assistant software, restart the PC, use the wireless assistant software to turn on the bluetooth and wireless, and then the drivers should install.
This package contains the HP Wireless Assistant for the supported notebook/laptop models and operating systems. The HP Wireless Assistant is a user application that provides a way to control the enablement of individual wireless devices (such as Bluetooth, WLAN, or WWAN devices) and that shows the state of the radios for these wireless devices.
yes i download the hp wirelless assistant but it says the bluetooth is disabled it says to go to device manager but in device manager i dont have bluetooth driver but when i go to install bluetooth (broadcom 2070 driver) it says please turn on or plug in your bluetooth in order to continue installation pls help me with this
This package contains the driver installation package for the Ralink/Motorola Bluetooth and High-Speed (HS) Adapter in supported notebook models that are running a supported operating system.
I've looked high and low for 6 hours now, and found no drivers for the built in wireless on a N-Alvorix-RS880-uATX board. they got them for vista and 7, but not xp. The card in question is: ralink tech 80211n wireless LAN card.
Now you can see VEN_ followed by your Vendor ID and DEV_ followed by your Product ID.All you have to do is telling me these identifiers by writing a comment for this question, or you can also try to search "ProductID XXXX VendorID YYYY" on Google to find at least your Wireless LAN Card model, then you will have more luck into finding a working 64 bits version for Windows XP.
I have install the Ubuntu 20.04 OS and for a week I try to install the driver for ralink technology corp. mt7601u wireless adapter ubuntu 20.04 without success. I tried dozens of methods but no one work. The device worked fine on Windows 10.
Error: mt7601u_mcu_wait_resp timed out
Unfortunately, there does not seem to be an easy solution to ^this. You can read about it here and if you're willing to try building your own kernel module, maybe you can solve it:
