Greetings. I had no problem doing this with JTAG X360s, now the slim 360 I am having an issue. I downloaded the hdd compat fixer and ran it thru XEX MENU put it in my SlimMU the 5 gig enternal and tried USB0 my 2 tb hdd and USB1 the usb stick 15 gigs but is almost full about 200 mb left. I get the error below and I am wondering if anyone can tell me how to fix this or do i just need to buy a freakin internal 500 gig drive for slim for anything xbox1 or emulators to work?

Can someone help me I can play some emulators like s360 but not intellivision or atari emulator or sega This worked fine in non slims but now need to get that HDD1 HDDX showing and yes i enabled it in advanced settings. thanks for the support

tut stipulates it works on internal HDD only not externals & never will work on external memory.would be best to try installing a larger hdd internally then try again, below is a link to digiex where the op gives a link to a hdd setup disk that creates the necessary partitions incl adding avatars n' stuff etc

I'm liking the newest fsd dash theme totally bithch'n man ! microsoft should hire the fsd team to make dashes for the xboxes in the future theirs suk, looking forward to trying out this tut for original xbox games on the 360

So I downloaded NFS Underground 1 from the internet, and I put it on my RGH. Please note that I have the compatibility files on my RGH and am able to play other original xbox games. But when I press A on the default.xbe, the console gives me a message saying to redownload the game. I was wondering if there have been any updates that may have caused this? Am I missing a file? Also, if I am missing a file or an update, can someone please PM me with that file or those files? It would be greatly appreciated considering this is my favorite game of all time. Thanks

use qwix as it is tried, tested and true.the game can go anywhere you want, I have mine on my USB in a folder called Xbox1Usb:Xbox1MamhuntJust be sure to tell F3 where your xbox1 games are located by setting the game path

Having a spot of bother with Thief: Deadly Shadows. I used iso2god to create a game folder (45530004), I then used 360 content manager to FTP it to my RGH, I can see the game in my library (Xbox classic) but when I try and play it, its telling me I need an update. Also when I click on the game in my library, it says, this is an installed game, to play, insert the original disc. Is there a way of getting this game to play??? Thanks in advance guys, any help will be very much appreciated

Hello, I recently did this to my XBOX360, And I'm asking for help. I wanted to play TimeSplitters 2, But i can't because the controls are gone insane. My analog goes up and down by itself.. I can't really fix it but i tried 3 other joysticks and same thing happenned.

No, simply copying the files to HDDX and rebooting shouldn't change anything with the other files... however... if you run the hdd partition fixer you may end up with losing some data... you should only use it if you don't have hddx

I've done everything as posted in the op got it to work on a couple of games but some as soon as a launch the game black screen then spam internal crash. Should I be patching the games with qwix or just leaving them be?

The Xbox 360 don't have a 100% Xbox Compatibility, some games work, others don't... you've found some that apparently don't work... there's a list on wikipedia on exactly which games "officially" work, meaning those that are garantueed to work, there's some that work with some minor issues aswell which aren't listed... (unless it changed since i last checked it out)

I think you should check the list for compatible games, try one that is known to work, if it doesn't work you should troubleshoot why... by trying to redo the steps to begin with... games that aren't listed as working may or may not work, they can have different issues, black screen, major lagg or texture issues or random crashes etc.

I was particularly interested in the HGST HUH728080ALE600 3.5" 8TB SATA 6Gb/s 7.2K RPM 128M 512E ISE HDD. I will be going directly through SATA III on the internal board without a RAID configuration. Just standard plug 'n play setup.

I had the dilemma which I will buy HGST Ultrastar 8TB or WD Gold 8TB ?.
Finally I decided to buy WD Gold WD8003FRYZ 2weeks ago cause I think WD is more reliable than HGST and I partitioned to 4 parts of 2 TB each NTFS , these are working very fast .
I was using WD Caviar Black 1001FALS and 1002FAEX more than 10 years with no problems
and I trust WD brand

Unfortunatelly that is not my case. I tested the drives on 2 AMD boards,1 x470 and a B450 - both are having the same issue - drive not detected. On the same power supply and cable (which I am confident are fine) I was running a 8TB WD RED without any issues on the affected systems.
HW and system configuration of the systems are all ok,BIOS versions are up2date.
I will give it 1 more try to get them working on an Intel based system but if it wont work out I will just return them and go for the WD RED PROs probably.

I just want to leave the answer here also, as its got answered on other reddist etc. But im supprised thats not answere HERE. So i laso cant not detect HC510 on any computer UNTILL i used MOLEX 4 pin power supplys end, connected it to molex4 to sata adapter, i got with some desktop montherboard. its meams those datacenter hdds wont run with standard sata power supply ending, but will work just fine with the sam power supply, but with molex4-pin with converter!

The 10TB drive that was being reported as 1250GB by the BIOS is in fact a 4Kn model. This means its logical sector size is 4KB rather than 512B, ie a factor of 8. The drive reports its total number of sectors to BIOS, but BIOS thinks that the sector size is 512B, so it calculates the capacity as 10TB / 8 = 1250GB.

The ultrastar HE10 8TB 3.5 inch Helium platform Enterprise Hard drive, such as the HGST HUH728080ALE600 model you mentioned, should be compatible with your desktop PC running Windows 7. Enterprise drives are designed for High performance and reliability, often used in mep estimation enterprise environments, but they can also be used in non enterprise setups like personal desktop PCs. The lack of windows 7 compatibility mentioned in the spec sheet is likely due to the fact that window 7 is an order operating system, and newer drives often prioritize compatibility the more recent operating systems. Regards

The Ultrastar He10 is a high-capacity, helium-filled hard drive designed for data center and enterprise storage applications. While it can technically be used with desktop PC systems, there are some considerations to keep in mind regarding its compatibility:

The Ultrastar He10, a high-capacity helium-filled hard drive designed for enterprise applications Call Bombers, may not be the most suitable choice for typical desktop PC systems. While it offers exceptional storage capacity and reliability, certain factors limit its compatibility with standard desktop configurations.

Firstly, Ultrastar He10 drives often utilize a 3.5-inch form factor, which may not be compatible with smaller desktop cases designed for 2.5-inch or 3.5-inch drives. Additionally, enterprise-class hard drives like the He10 may have specific power requirements or be optimized for continuous operation, which could lead to suboptimal performance or overheating in a desktop environment where power consumption and usage patterns differ.

Furthermore, desktop systems may lack the advanced RAID and error recovery features that the Ultrastar He10 is designed to work with in enterprise settings. While the drive could physically connect to a desktop system using standard SATA or SAS interfaces, its performance and capabilities may not be fully realized in this context.

In summary, while the Ultrastar He10 is a robust and reliable storage solution, its compatibility with desktop PC systems may be limited by factors such as form factor, power requirements, and enterprise-oriented features that might not align with typical desktop usage scenarios.

Only when I wanted to boot into ubuntu again did I realise that the disk check had corrupted my linux partition. Ubuntu's load screen shows up, but just before the login screen it says that the filesystem could not be mounted.

Automatically repair the file system without any questions (use this option with caution). Note that e2fsck(8) supports -a for backwards compatibility only. This option is mapped to e2fsck's -p option which is safe to use, unlike the -a option that some file system checkers support.

A cluster is the minimum size a file is allocated on the HDD. A file smaller than 64KB will still be allocated 64KB of HDD space (128 512-byte sectors). Files larger than 1 cluster will be allocated multiple clusters until the remaining part to be written is less than 1 cluster. This remaining chunk of data will be allocated and stored to 1 final cluster on the HDD.

Step 2: Softmod - Replace IDE cable with new one, put adapter on new drive and set the jumper on the adapter to slave. I usually take a game case and anti static hard drive sleeve and lay on top of the dvd drive, placing HDD on top of that. so the back of the adapter isn't too far from the IDE connection of the DVD drive. Use latest chimp from Rocky5 Softmod tool, hot swap IDE connector to hard drive and clone master to slave.
