Hi,

We have a ODBC Connection to an SQL 2005 instance eg server\pharmacy which works when we test the connection, but the SQL outbound business operation fails to connect and turns orange.

the error message we get is:

'ERROR <Ens>ErrOutConnectFailed: ODBC Connect failed for 'server' / '' with error ERROR #6022: Gateway failed: DSN/User Connect.' matched ReplyCodeAction 1 : 'E' resulting in Action code R

Has anyone came across this problem before? has anyone got any advice?

Thanks

Jonathan

It could be a problem with user privileges in the Ensemble background
job for the Operation not being sufficient for the ODBC driver.

Ensemble background jobs inherit their environment from a Windows
Service that starts up at boot time, so they can be different from your
privileges as a normal user.

The WRC should be able to help you figure this out.

May be barking up the wrong tree, but have you gone into Home > Configuration > Object/SQL Gateway Settings > SQL Gateway Connections

And added it in there?

I found I had to do that

Thank you all for your suggestions, we managed to resolve it by changing the network library from TCP\IP to Named Pipes.

Also on marks advice we have added the connection to the Object/SQL Gateway.

Thanks Again for your help.
