I am working on a Fan Edit of Kill Bill from my Japanese DVDs(so they are the good ones), the whole bloody affair, and have everything done except one thing, which I would greatly appreciate it if someone could help me with.

Original Run Time: 247 minutes (including all end and starting credits)
New Run Time: 242 minutes
Date edit was released: July 2008

Cut/added scenes:

* end credits of Kill Bill 1 cut
* beginning of Kill Bill 2 cut
* extended anime scene
* extended House Of The Blue Leaves scene (colored)
* extended scene where beatrix and Sophie are talking
* additional scene with Bill kicking ass

Intentions for this fanedit: This fanedit was created early 2007, but with the official release of THE WHOLE BLOODY AFFAIR still being possible, it was held back for some time now. Now that this official release is cancelled, fans migth never get the full movie to watch in one piece. This fanedit corrects that issue and presents also an even more extended edition with additional scenes and the uncut colored battle against the Crazy88 (only available on the Japanese uncut DVD).

* NTSC 2.35:1 widescreen presented in 16:9 on a Dual Layer DVD
* Dolby 5.1 surround Audio: English only
* English subtitles

i did not like this recut at all. it seemed like it was just the vol.1 japanese cut and vol.2 asian cut appended to each other.

assuming by 'years' you mean more than 2 then that means you waited at the least 7 months from the time of boon saying you should join before actually joining?

sorry about complainig to the extended version, not to be a recut *laugh*

but this is the only "whole bloody affair" i know, and it is NOT what i thought
it would be (and i already did recut it a year ago). i hoped it to be a bit more
similar to my version (approx. 15min to the opening credits, chronolocigal list
of murders ect.). well, too bad it is not.

maybe my cut is more in the idea of a whole epic movie like kill bill obviously
wants to be (which is not simply two appended movies, but one big, epic feature
with one story and only one plot ... at least, i thought so ).

...and yeah :razz:
its fun that i never took interest in distributing the recuts and
extended versions i have cut over the last years. maybe anyone
wants to share his wisdom with me and i can release the cuts of:

- scarface (180min cut),
- the corruptor (unrated version),
- traffic (extended version),
- the grindhouse (extended and unrated whole experience),
- titanic (extended version),
- back to the future (complete and extended appended version and the extended cuts of each movie),
- the crow 1 (extended & unrated cut),
- the godfather saga (the longest version ... REALLY),
- from hell (135min cut),
- identity (more extended version),
- kill bill - the whole sh'bang (244min chronological cut),
- road to perdition (extended version)
- children of men (extended version)
- seven (extended cut)
- star wars I-III (extended versions)
- out of sight (extended version)
and about 20 more versions and cuts.

is anybody interested in making this "share-able" ??

i saw that there are a few versions that i did cut, that already
"excist", but i guess nobody would cut everything the same way.

i'd be interested to see how you managed to get your From Hell edit up to 135 mins as i added in everything that was relevent for mine and it only runs 130 mins. the scenes i left out were simply not usable due to story/plot/reused scene discrepancies.

as for getting your stuff out there, it is very simply you can send copies out via post to people so they can upload for you, upload to rapidshare (split the iso into 100mb files with winrar and upload) very easy and free. or just get a decent torrenting app like Azureus (now known as Vuze) and up it to piratebay or demonoid or something.

if you have no idea about torrenting just look it up on wiki. if you can get your head around an editing suite capable of creating those edits you mention then upping to RS or Torrent will be a piece of cake. kaine23Well-known memberMessages165Reaction score0Trophy Points21Apr 7, 2009

Just download the Whole Bloody Remix instead it works a lot better than simply bookending the two movies.

I'm rather iffy about this, because I rather liked the way both films compliment each other as separate entities while still being part of a larger whole. Not sure what to think about the notion of watching the whole thing as one giant film. I know its what Tarantino had originally intended, and I'm certainly curious about what it might be like, but as I say... I'm iffy about it. I'll have to mull it over before considering watching it.

i am sorry for not having been around for so long.

since i registered i watched a lot of the fanedits on this site
and am overwhelmed with the great work of a lot of editors.

kudos !!!

i still have the chronological edit of KILL BILL around, but noticed a
lot of audiocuts (which would ruin the viewing experience of anyone).

i would love to interact with someone to fix these issues.

maybe anyone would like to get my edit and rework the audio issues?
since i did only worked with TMPEG enc and NERO VISION on this cut.

(it is a few bumps in the scenes where bill is talking to
sophia and beatrix kiddo in the plane writing the list).

i know that it must sound like a very lame edit (software-
wise), but you would be surprised with the result so far.

when i posted first i thought it was presentable (it is actually, but the
audiocuts make it obvious that it is fanedited and that i need to be fixed.
and mybe with the great "bill talking to the bride about pai mei" with the
inserted material, which i really liked a lot).

i would love to see a presentable KILL BILL "the whole sh'bang"-version,
which is totally satisfying (at least untill quentin does his cut, which he still
seems to drop out in some time)

Well, *I* enjoyed this edit. It gave me the opportunity to experience the saga again (I hadn't seen KB for a couple years) in its most complete form, and I loved the new material. I never saw any of the extra footage before.

Since you have basically cut the Japanese edition of KB1 with KB2 (As I understand it) I don't think it qualifies to be on the site as there is no significant difference between the two sources other than just being joined together.
