The Black Emporium is a shop owned by Xenon the Antiquarian, an eccentric and immortal character. Xenon once made a deal with a witch for eternal life but forgot to ask for eternal youth. This caused his body to decay. He has been alive for at least 300 years and has acquired many artifacts. The entrance to his emporium is only given to those he deems worthy.
Hello ! I know your problem is probably solved by now, but- I did find a solution for it, if anyone else gets this problem.
First, you'll need to visit this page: -ca/help/origin/origin/download-dlc-for-classic-origin-games/#dragonage
Download the files for PC/MAC that miss english voices/texts for you.
When it is done, for PC for example, extract the .exe in a folder using 7zip. I use the "extract to [name of the file]" option, easier to sort out.
For example, for Black Emporium, it will give you a folder named "DA2_BlackEmporium". Inside this folder, there will be 2 folders : "$PLUGINSDIR" and "$_2_".
We are interested in the one called "$_2_". Open it.
There will be an "addins" folder. Copy it. Paste it in your Dragon Age II game folder. It should be located around here: "Disk:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Dragon Age II"
hello! i made a mod to make modded hairs and beards appear in the black emporium of dragon age: inquisition, because normally at the BE hairs and beards just look like the unmodded hair even with mods installed. this fixes that.
Don't know, it had been available to buy since the first time I went to the Black emporium this save, and I never touched it the whole game because I heard that buying them early from there could glitch the achievement popping.
I'm at the start of Act III with I believe 5/6 spindleweed... and Isabela bailed on me. I only have the Act 3 Band of Three notes for Archeologist and have meticulously collected everything for Supplier I could and haven't touched the black emporium shop yet.
No mods for dragon age: inquistion are supported by vortex, you can't use vortex to download dragon age: inquisition mods. What mods were you trying to use? Some mods require certain graphics setups e.g 3d model edit mods, which are things that change the shape of things, like for example hairstyle mods and mods that change the proportions of an outfit will require ultra mesh quality settings under the graphics options of the game.
Also, be aware that there are 2 different mod managers for dragon age: inquisition, you do not need both, but be aware that if you download a mod that is for frosty mod manager (the other mod manager), you won't be able to load it through dai mod manager, and it won't be picked up by dai mod manager as a valid mod. So if when you extract/unzip a mod, it produces a mod with the .fbmod extension, that is not for the dai mod manager, it's only for frosty mod manager.
Hairstyle Day Da:i requires you to have the black emporium DLC installed, as do all hair mods made for frosty mod manager, so if you don't have that installed, go grab it, and by that I don't mean the visibility fix mod, I mean the actual DLC addon published by bioware for dragon age. If you didn't have that DLC already installed, I would make sure that after installing it, you go to where your dragon age inquisition is installed (same place you would have pointed the mod manager when setting it up), and delete the ModData folder, it will come back later, but that's alright, you don't have to keep deleting it unless problems arise (it's the frosty merged mods folder.)
Also, whilst hairstyle day DA:I does come with it's own textures, these textures do not alter the look of other hairstyles in a significant way as they mostly comply to dragon age's regular hair texture layout, there may be a few floaty bits on other characters hairs with it installed, but I've not personally experienced any pixilation with it, that may be due to either not having the black emporium dlc if you don't have it, or loading a dai mod manager hair retexture via frosty, if you are using any (I explain what retextures are further down.)
I don't know which file you're using from the specializations mod, but, note, specialization mods are not compatible with the complete or custom hair patch version of enhanced character creation, since they edit the same files. It is, however, compatible with the lite version of enhanced character creation. Also, if you're using the slider files from the modded hair in black emporium page, make sure you're following the instructions in the second to top comment of the mods page if you want to use it with enhanced character creation (though, note that the slider file of the mod will clash with specialization mods.)
i think i found my problem... i just realized I forgot to hit merge on the DAI Mod Manager.. the reason I say I think is as of this post the game has been loading for a little over 10 min now (black screen with the green DAI logo in the lower right corner) sure the game took awhile to load in the past, i timed it at just a little less than 7 min, but now over 10 min...
These handy personal storage devices are being added as part of an upcoming mega patch, fully detailed here. Said mega patch also re-introduces the Black Emporium from Dragon Age 2, a creepy black market which lets you customise your main character during the game (as opposed to being locked into your silly hairstyle and voice choices at the start). You'll be able to pick up rare weapons, accessories, schematics and the like here too.
Coinciding with the release date is the Dragonslayer multiplayer expansion, which offers a new location in Fereldan where you finally get to slay a dragon with friends. Also, you can play as three new characters: the Avvar Skywatcher who combines magic and melee, Zither the really cool Virtuoso that casts magic by playing the lute, and Isabela. If you need me to explain Isabela, you should play Dragon Age 2 because the Pirate Queen of the Eastern Seas needs no introduction.
