Hey DWEEB GAMING, Thank you for playing our game! We actually use a system that automatically scales the game's graphics based on the player's hardware, but we only set it at launch. I'm very curious as to why it didn't work in your case, do you know if you started the game before you started recording? i'd love for you to test the full game before it's released to make sure it's resolved!
HI ! Really? That is odd but I'm sure its my computer and not anything do to with the game. My computer gives me a hard time with some games. Can you believe I got this in 2020? SO its not that old .. Its Alienware though. They were having a "good" sale and I caved in and got one because my old computer was 9 years old and wouldn't even play Poppy playtime lol. I've actually had 3 of my tech friends look at it and they cant figure out why it runs the way it does sometimes. Luckily im getting a new computer built and giving this one to my kids soon lol but If you'd still want me to when the game is about to release , Ill test it out on this computer and see if it still lags then. Id be glad to help out ! Just let me know :)

Yeah those alienware desktops are notoriously unreliable, but they do look cool! Yes, one of our goals with this project is to make a game that doesn't require a settings menu, so auto scalability is an important factor, i can tell by the footage that it was wasn't activating properly. A simple little game1 I actually quite liked the models used for the creatures, and the flame was fun to follow. The audio design wasn't bad - I think the only thing I'm missing is maybe something spookily moving away from trees just out of sight.

All game developers worth their salt know that play-testing is crucial and should be done as many times as possible during the development of the project. What is an Early Access if not this, just on a much larger scale, and with much greater variety and overall quality of feedback?

Adrian (Chmielarz) was the Creative Director on Painkiller, basically designed the game. Michał (Kosieradzki) was the particle guru, soloing the entire special effects content, but he also made tons of 3D enemy models and animated them. Andrzej (Poznański) was a Lead Level Designer but he also optimized the graphics, so you can consider him our Technical Art Lead as well.
But rest assured that nothing has changed. Witchfire is still a dark fantasy shooter, with the emphasis on dark. There will be fear. Here will be horror. There will be story. And there is a point to all this shooting, and the game is much more than this anyway.
There is an RPG side to the game, yes. Inventory, lore, unlocking powers, builds, etc. And we do have a story to tell. But I would not expect many NPCs. The witch fully controls her land, and our preyer is the only person who can survive there.
ADS extends the range of your insta-hit weapons. It does not affect the projectile-based ones like the crossbow. But there is no accuracy penalty for shooting from the hip. We figured that if you can headshot the enemy from the hip, good for you. That is hard enough and a proper challenge in itself, so no need for any extra penalties.
