I was trying to start need for speed most wanted online on vita during this week (before it worked perfectly) but it never connected, same problem has my gf. It is temporal or they shut down servers. Is there a way to play, vpn to other regions or something. Thank you for responses.
I tweeted him on the 28th asking for an update, didn't receive a response, and there's been no new posts in the thread from him since the 24th. Suspecting the decision was made to not bother fixing this, which is disappointing.
Thanks for the update guys! I guess we'll just have to keep an eye on things. Hopefully they'll get this up and running soon. I've noticed that the Criterion NFS games weren't included in the shutdown - just Slightly Mad Studios and Black Box were inlcuded in the cull. I guess the online community still has a decent number of players keeping the motor running.
Vita version has a surprisingly busy online community. When I was playing in April I went online a few times to play with randoms for a few trophies and was getting full lobbies every time. Definitely a good amount of people online still.
I can imagine this, it is probably the best racing game available for the Vita. And racing games, in general, are quite scarce on the system. Besides, they way the multiplayer of MW2012 is designed is just great, it works really well.
That's okay! I was a bit 50/50 with starting up the game myself but I'm fairly enjoying playing the offline part for the mean time, sadly today isn't the day for the servers. I'll carry on logging in and playing a little bit till the servers are back up. I'll update every two days instead of daily unless it's up and running
PS3 version speaking here, but for the past couple of days I've been unable to connect to Autolog. I can connect to MP and grind miles (haven't tested playing with someone, just inv only sessions) but Autolog doesn't work for me.
I have bought my 2nd-hand copy of NFS most wanted from gamestop store in Italy last month. the game disc is very clean and there is no single scratch on it. Unfortunately, When I try to play the game it hangs on the title screen and can not be loaded.
I assume you're talking about the Wii U version? That was about the most glitchy game that I ever owned on the system. I never had the problem that you mentioned, but I once had the game lock-up on me 4 times in 5 minutes. The game probably froze on me about 20 times during my 16 hours of total play time. After that I gave up and traded it in.
I know the Wii U version was praised up and down by reviewers, but none of them ever seemed to mention that the game simply doesn't work all that well. Whether you call them freezes, lock-ups, or crashes, the game is pretty much unplayable. You don't want to be seconds away from winning a tough race, only to have the Wii U freeze, resulting in you having to unplug the machine from the wall.
Anyways, I wish you luck, but I'd honestly recommend another NFS game on a different system if you can. Hot Pursuit on PS3 is outstanding. No performance issues, and I happen to think it's a better game all around. There's a lot more content in that game. In Most Wanted every car was limited to only have 5 races. Lame.
My game library ranges from Mario Kart to Call of Duty to Tales of Xillia to Diablo 3 to Forza. To me gaming is about having fun - not blindly supporting only one company while thumbing your nose at "the evil other systems."
@MFii, do you have your WiiU connected to the internet? There is a huge patch that you need to download which sorts out the majority of the issues.
The only thing that I know of that can still freeze up the console is pressing the home button while the game is saving. Other than that, the game should run with no problems.
Yes, this game was a glitchy mess when it was released (one of the worst i've ever seen, especially on WiiU). They fixed a lot of its problems with patches. So try to download those first, if possible. If not, get a refund. Just because it's a clean or scratch-free disc, doesn't mean it's not broken
Isn't the Criminal Justice Information System same thing as Criminal Justice Information Services Division? If it is, just move all the information there and request a speedy delete of the page. A lot of the pages have been created already, they just need to be expanded on. Shane (talk/contrib) 19:41, 12 July 2006 (UTC)
CJIS is the usual abbreviation and some books note the name (official) as Criminal Justice Information System. So, I just redirected the page so, both names can be used to locate the information. One book Automated Crime Information Systems also uses the name as CJIS. It's the same thing happened in NCAVC page too. NCAVC is redirecting the page to National Center for the Analysis of Violent Crime.--Cyril Thomas 17:27, 16 July 2006 (UTC)
I am wondering if the articles of enforcement agencies under United States Department of Justice (DOJ) intermixed with FBI articles. DoJ is like a parent organization.--Cyril Thomas 17:26, 18 July 2006 (UTC)
As of the current version, WikiProjects with simple "generic" templates are supported by the plugin without the need for any special programatic support by me. I've had a look at your project's template and you seem to qualify.
I have been trying to beef up John Ward Warren Parsons, the newest FBI Top Tenner, and I just found out about your WikiProject. Should I tag his article's talk page with Project FBI? Jesse Viviano 02:14, 1 October 2006 (UTC)
Hello. The WikiProject Council has recently updated the Wikipedia:WikiProject Council/Directory. This new directory includes a variety of categories and subcategories which will, with luck, potentially draw new members to the projects who are interested in those specific subjects. Please review the directory and make any changes to the entries for your project that you see fit. There is also a directory of portals, at User:B2T2/Portal, listing all the existing portals. Feel free to add any of them to the portals or comments section of your entries in the directory. The three columns regarding assessment, peer review, and collaboration are included in the directory for both the use of the projects themselves and for that of others. Having such departments will allow a project to more quickly and easily identify its most important articles and its articles in greatest need of improvement. If you have not already done so, please consider whether your project would benefit from having departments which deal in these matters. It is my hope that all the changes to the directory can be finished by the first of next month. Please feel free to make any changes you see fit to the entries for your project before then. If you should have any questions regarding this matter, please do not hesitate to contact me. Thank you. B2T2 19:40, 25 October 2006 (UTC)
Hello, all. It was initially my hope to try to have this done as part of Esperanza's proposal for an appreciation week to end on Wikipedia Day, January 15. However, several people have once again proposed the entirety of Esperanza for deletion, so that might not work. It was the intention of the Appreciation Week proposal to set aside a given time when the various individuals who have made significant, valuable contributions to the encyclopedia would be recognized and honored. I believe that, with some effort, this could still be done. My proposal is to, with luck, try to organize the various WikiProjects and other entities of wikipedia to take part in a larger celebrartion of its contributors to take place in January, probably beginning January 15, 2007. I have created yet another new subpage for myself (a weakness of mine, I'm afraid) at User talk:Badbilltucker/Appreciation Week where I would greatly appreciate any indications from the members of this project as to whether and how they might be willing and/or able to assist in recognizing the contributions of our editors. Thank you for your attention. Badbilltucker 22:27, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
Hi, I created the Serial Killer Task Force as a task force of the Wikipedia:WikiProject Criminal Biography. I know that your group is primarily interested in FBI subjects, but I was wonder if you could give some advice for the task force. I have always been more interested in how serial killers are caught, such as profiling techniques an VICAP, than in the serial killers themselves, who I find to be just a bunch of sick a**holes. Thus said I really don't want this project to degenerate into sensationalism and a project for people who think serial killers are "cool". Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jmm6f488 22:51, 25 July 2007 (UTC)
Hey everyone. Just joined what I hope will not be a defunct project here. I don't have much experience with the logistics and formats of wiki pages, but I do have at least a fair working knowledge of law enforcement issues / FBI history. I can also write fairly well, or at least well enough to construct a good article for these purposes. If anyone knows of pages that need editing or upkeep, please let me know (you can contact me on my talk page). Thanks, Epthorn 17:18, 22 October 2007 (UTC)
Template:Infobox FBI Ten Most Wanted has been nominated for deletion. You are invited to comment on the discussion at the template's entry on the Templates for Deletion page. Thank you. -- Mark Chovain 22:51, 13 November 2007 (UTC)
Each WikiProject should already have a new C-Class category at Category:C-Class_articles. If your project elects not to use the new level, you can simply delete your WikiProject's C-Class category and clarify any amendments on your project's assessment/discussion pages. The bot is already finding and listing C-Class articles.
