I’m in the process of developing a new map based on Chris Taylor’s.

I have already extended the map to the bounds of my map, colorized the
geography, and selected Jeff Lee’s JSL Ancient for the labels. The
labels will be curved to the geography and outlined with a transparent
mask when they overlap geography. There will also be separate
labeling layers for 3 zoom levels.

The new map will have English, Sindarin, and German, all in Latin
letters, and *may* include a layer of Sindarin in Tengwar.

The effort will require me to reprogram the tile generator and the web
site. I hope to make labels clickable, revealing overlays of
supplemental information for each location.
