What is this Summer School?

Jointly organised by the faculties of Law, Economics and Business, Agricultural Sciences and Medicine of the Justus Liebig University Giessen, this summer programme has earned a global reputation for excellence. The interdisciplinary program is designed for postgraduates, undergraduates with some basic knowledge in the area of biotechnology, and young professionals, who want to learn about Europe's way of dealing with the challenges of a new and developing industry such as biotechnology, and who want to gain some first-hand experience with German and European culture

All the courses taught in English, are designed to challenge and inspire our participants in highly popular fields of IPR, technology and law. The course combines high-quality teaching along with field trips: two on-site visits at international biotechnology companies (Merck and Bayer) , a three-day trip to Munich and a three-day trip to Berlin. In addition, students are encouraged to attend German language courses.
