MARC records for new Smashwords titles and new LJ SELF-e Select titles

Hello enki library members, the following items are now available:

 

·         210 new Library Journal SELF-e Select indie titles have been added. There are now over 600 in the curated indie collection from Library Journal and Bibliolabs (SELF-e).  These titles are selected by LJ staff as the “best-of” titles published through SELF-e.  Note, many of them are also published by small independent presses. So while they are “self-published” through SELF-e, they are actually published with small pub houses as well (because their good).  You can see the LJ titles on this sample link below:

·         10,900 MARC records have been uploaded for the recent Smashwords titles.  These are a curated list of  titles that are popular based on purchases through Amazon.  I included 5 copies for one very popular author that had hold queues – Kristen Ashley. You can find this author’s titles by searching on smashwords Kristen Ashley. You can find the MARC records in the usual place:

I will be sending out a collection development survey to you in the next week or two.  The State Library has provided some CLSA funds for purchasing new titles. Stay tuned!

Hi folks, we have posted an update to the recent Bibliolabs and Smashwords MARC files. The Smashwords titles had 7 records with incorrect genre headings (fixed). The Bibliolabs file had a few errors from publisher as well (fixed).
