What you describe is exactly what I did moving WIMs in a batch 'capture-alter-deploy' fashion with Imagex, DISM, and xcopy. I'd like to see the batch job that might be tedious with xcopy and/or how the teracopy batch is less so for my edification.

Teracopy 3 1 key

i was wondering today if its a teracopy problem... i did insert a clean 2tb drive this morning... when trying to copy with teracopy, it would copy a gb or two and then fail with the error 'network destination not available' or whatever the error is...

but maybe to your point, maybe the array needed a few minutes to adjust the allocations to the new drive, and during this time i was getting the error.... maybe a few minutes later when i uninstalled teracopy and used the win 7 copy, maybe the array was ready to just continuously write to the new clean drive...

I was transferring files via file explorer (almost 1TB) and after two failed attempts at it stalling at 0 bytes at 71% I was enlightened with my discovery of teracopy. Does this automatically skip or overwrite files already there? Or maybe I should painstakingly delete the prior transfer and make a new with teracopy.

Hi I have been looking for some software that is similar to teracopy (which is only for win) for linux. More importantly something that can recursively copy and check (like CRC/Size/etc) as it copies (or after it copies). Any suggestions would really be appreciated!

Thanks, i ran the command: rsync -r -t -v --progress -c -s path1 path2 (with help from Grsync).
It was 33.2 GiB in 45 minutes. The second time (without -c) took 6 seconds.
Its a nice tool for backups. It is not the same as teracopy but close.

I asked this question windows file copy internals (on the fly encryption) to know how windows file copy system works because i want to encrypt all copied files but i don't give my answer (Competently) so i decide to replace default windows copy by my encryption program. And now my question is :How teracopy replace default windows copy?

I wasn't sure which one to download so I picked the "portable" version. AVG has warned me that teracopy is infected. Surely a false positive, but I seldom have this happen. There's the off chance that the file has actually been infected, but I doubt it. I'm updating as of now to see if this remedies the situation.
