Dear Zipang Friend,
In February 2018, Zipang storytellers June Peters and Badia Obaid told Mesopotamian stories in Amman, Jordan, as guests of the Iraqi Business Council. Simon Clemenson, a trustee of the Enheduanna Society, gave an introductory talk about cuneiform script. The audience at this much-appreciated cultural event included Dr Lamia al-Gaylani, a patron of the Enheduanna Society. For a fuller, illusrated report, click below.
Also in February, several Zipang friends attended the Japanese Noh theatre performance of Inana's Descent at the University of London. It was remarkable and unforgettable. It inspired Ghada al-Gaylani to write a short story which can be read at the link below.
