Dear Zipang Friend, In February 2018, Zipang storytellers June Peters and Badia Obaid told Mesopotamian stories in Amman, Jordan, as guests of the Iraqi Business Council. Simon Clemenson, a trustee of the Enheduanna Society, gave an introductory talk about cuneiform script. The audience at this much-appreciated cultural event included Dr Lamia al-Gaylani, a patron of the Enheduanna Society. It was remarkable and unforgettable. It inspired Ghada al-Gaylani to write a short story which can be read at the link below. http://www.zipang.org.uk/stories.htm |
