Dear ZIPANG friend,
Dr Lamia al-Gailani Werr, a long-time Zipang friend and patron of the Enheduanna Society, died suddenly on Friday 17 January 2019 in Amman, Jordan and has been buried in Baghdad.
Lamia was an Iraqi archaeologist renowned and widely respected for her knowledge and wisdom about Mesopotamia. It was an honour and pleasure to have known Lamia. She will be greatly missed.
