Dear All, you must have heard about the Workshop on Intersectionality by Prof Karni Pal Bhati (Furman University). It will be a day-long event (10 am to 6 pm), and will involve presentations by Prof Bhati and short student papers. I write to ask you to volunteer your services for this event. Please get in touch with Nilanjana (who is also on this thread, so you can just reply to this message and she will find it) about paper ideas as well as volunteering. Please confirm by 5 pm on Thursday, 21 January.--
We think we can include a maximum of 12 papers, and that if there are vacant slots, we can invite scholars from IWL or CompLit to contribute--we haven't decided on this yet though. A portfolio of reading materials provided by Prof Karni will be mailed to all of you by tomorrow morning. Those intending to present papers will have to read this material and submit an abstract by 5 pm on Friday, 29 January 2016, and also let Nilanjana know as early as possible. We already have 4 expressions of interest, so please hurry up!
Best,
Rajiv
