The lecture on animal behaviour was interesting until the professor
indulged in a long digression about his beloved dog.

WRONG: I can't come to the cinema tonight. I have a lot work to do.
CORRECT: I can't come to the cinema tonight. I have too much work to
do.
GRAMMAR: used "much" because "work" is an uncountable noun.
