WORD OF THE DAY:

gainsay - to deny; contradict

Her claim of innocence could not be gainsaid in a court of law.

WRONG TO CORRECT:

WRONG: What Rahul is doing in the saloon? He is cutting his hair.

CORRECT: What Rahul is doing in the saloon? He is having his hair cut.

GRAMMAR:

We use have something done (here : having his hair cut) to say that we
arrange for somebody else to do something for us.
Rahul cannot cut his hair. And he is getting his hair cut in the
saloon.

IDIOM/ Phrases

to curry favour - trying to gain a person's approval by making use of
flattery.

Rahul is trying to curry favour with his uncle again.
