Dear Students,

 

You need to prepare for your second assignment which is a theatre review. You can write either on This is not a Gun using the material on political theatre or Phantom of the Opera using the material on mediatization. Other relevant material can also be used.

 

The review should have an appropriate title

It should offer your opinions on the production rather than plot narration

Your opinions should engage with theoretical standpoints

There should be strong and logical links between each argument

The review should have subtitles where there is a significant section break

A conclusion is necessary, summarizing your arguments with your final recommendation

You should write to a fairly informed readership

Reviews do not include a bibliography. References should be inserted into the main body of text (author, brief title, date)

Wordcount 1000 to 1500 words. Pleaese keep to the word limit and provide wordcount at the end of your review
