The definition of 'style' seems to vary from theorist to theorist,
from person to person perhaps. But your opinion matters much in that
you will lay emphasis on the style of language in your future
stylistic analysis. That's why I want you to contemplate the
definitions of 'style' and come up with a dominant understanding of
what style is.

Just speak out your opinion.
Looking forward to your prompt reply!

Good moring ,everyone.
In my opinion, the definations of "style" just as defferent class-
level
talk about one thing from different views of point . We should admit
that "style" itself is an abstract concept.
I prefer to Comte De Duffon:
The style is the man himself.
In fact ,not only when you speak or write, does the style belonging to
yourself lie,but in your daily life.Every one has different style of
activity.

Very gald to have the first reply in this new forum. Thank you for your participation, continous repetitions of which will surely enrich your academic life.

You are right to say 'style' is an abstract concept, which may vary much in meaning from person to person. The right path to proper interpretation of 'style' may lie in the concrete way one deals with it. In other words, one should turn the abstract concept into concrete understanding and application, as you did.

Best,
Swan
