Just a heads up that the popular OER publisher out of Rice university, OpenStax, is offering a writing textbook for the first time: https://openstax.org/details/books/writing-guide. It includes readings from many diverse authors as well as profiles of writers like bell hooks , Atul Gawande, Samin Nosrat, and Michiko Kakatani.
