這句話裡面的 girl
可以使用如句中的單數型，或者也可以加上 s
改成複數型（girls），

（O）She is taller than any other girl in the class.
（O）She is taller than any other girls in the class.

原因是因為前面的 any 囉！any
這個字的後面接單數名詞或複數名詞都可以。

其實，這個句子中還有一個關於【比較級】的重要觀念，就是那個【other】絕對不可以省略喔！

（X）She is taller than any girl in the class.（any 後面少了
other）
（X）She is taller than any girls in the class.（any 後面少了
other）

因為【比較級】有一個重要的概念就是，在同一個時間條件底下，自己沒有辦法跟自己比較。
所以上面錯誤的那兩句，由於少掉了【other】之後，就等於沒有把自己給從整個班級裡面排除在外，
那就會形成自己跟自己做比較囉！所以說，【other】的功能就是要來把自己給扣除在外的啦！切記！切記！

所以，這句話【She is taller than any other girl(s) in the
class.】（全班沒人比她高。）
的意思也等於是說【She is the tallest girl in the
class.】（她是全班最高的女生。）
