   The whole play these two guys seem to be pretty goog kings,  this story shows the other side. Now Laius is a rapist of an innocent fifteen year old girl who has just lost her baby to as far as she knows death. Which is great because the first time he raped her he impregnated her with a cursed baby. The prophecy stated that how would kill his father and sleep with his mother. He was not going to kill her, she wanted her baby. This story definitely is in a feminist light. And also justifies everything Jocasta does.
