I saw this word in a meeting today ("Sundry tasks").
To be pronounced more like "son-dree" rather than "sun-dry" (I had no idea and had to look it up).

For some reason that word sounded to me like some kind of pastry and never looked it up. I accepted it and moved on.

I picture a future in which this exchange never took place. In this future you would eventually go to the United Kingdom. After a busy day navigating through a bustling metropole, let's say London, you would stop for a coffee. Feeling fanciful, you would attempt to order a sundry. This would lead to confusion, or in the worst case to vexation and humiliation.

I am glad that I have helped avert the occurrence of this hypothetical unpleasant situation.
