Namaskar!

Thanks for that interesting and inspiring story. From time to time I hear these stories where a guru says Baba is their Guru. However have you ever heard of a margii becoming a guru?!

My wife Kamala told me of a old margii friend of her's, Dharmadhar (Dean Greenburg) from Carbondale, Illinois, who in the early days of the Marga in the US, went to Bangladesh, I think as a representitive of Prout, for some conference. While there he met an old Sufi guru and immediately they were drawn to each other in a deep spiritual way. Not that long after that the guru died and made Dharmadhar his successor !

Now he is known as Sheikh Din Muhammad Abdullah al-Dayemi and guru of thousands of muslims. He openly says that Baba is one of his gurus and in a newsletter I saw of his, had Baba's photos and description of Him and some o f Baba's teachings like neo humanism (from memory) Hopefully Kamala will find time to write more on it knowing the facts better.

Regarding this there is an interesting Baba story, it goes like this.

One old margii living in Delhi were taking a bath, while his phone rang. He stod out from the bath and took the phone call, that was an to him unknown person that called, the person asked about his welfare, the welfare of his two boys, and then finally told him that it was bad for health to be standing all wet, so better he dried himself, although the margii did not tell anything about being taking a bath. So the margii wondered about this call. It then so happened that he should do a travel to that region in the south from were the phone call came from.

When he arrived at the place it was the ashram of an Guru. When he entered the premises, the Guru and his followers were having some satsang. When the Guru saw this margii, he todl his followers that "his special guest" had arrived and that he would like to be alone with the margii. So the others left and then the Guru first scolded the margii, for see the margii, although a margii since the 1950s, due to all the crisis in the organisation, were loosing faith in BAba. So the Guru scolded him saying wether he wanted money or if he wanted Baba. The margii said that he wanted Baba.

The Guru releaxed a bit said that the margii was very clever choosing Baba, and explained that the margii was a very fortunate person, to have meet and been with the Guru of Gurus. The Guru said that Baba was also his Guru, and that he never had any opporunity to see Baba in physical form. So why would the margii loose faith, after having witnessed the Grace of Baba.

The Guru also told that it would be better if the margii and his dear ones would move away from Delhi, since that region would be flooded by water in the near future!

This story was told to us some 10 to 15 years ago. I told this to one Acarya, he said that he actually knew this margii, and next time he was in Delhi he would personnally ask wether this happened or not. When arriving back from India next time, this acarya had confirmed the story with the margii and it is a true story.

So not only Calcutta will be flooded, Delhi will be flooded also, according to this story.
