I have wasted some time thinking about a certain poster in ukrc.

The trouble is, I cannot really see any evidence of the 'Fruit of the
Spirit' in the fellow. To put it another way, I cannot imagine that the
person truly knows Christ, whom he claims to follow. Personally, I
cannot believe he is truly a Christian.

The first thing I notice is his extraordinary ego. His self-belief seems
so excessive. I'd say that is the opposite of Christian humility.

Then, he seems to totally lack empathy, or indeed to care about others
in any way more than very superficially.

Having also read some of his fictional stories, I get rather concerned,
one of his stories, for example, describes a minister who takes control
of another person's life. Buying her a grand piano, etc., and in other
ways taking control over her by various means. I read into that, that he
is probably living out his own fantasies in that story, which to me
suggests a sociopath-type personality disorder. He thrives on
controlling others.

Most of his postings are about promoting Adventist dogma, or denigrating
others in order to try and bolster up his own image as some sort of
academic or intellectual giant. I also note that he doesn't like it when
people are not fooled by this smoke-screen. I remain unimpressed by the
fellow, and indeed accord him zero respect.

He seems totally incapable of sensitivity, or of reasoned debate.
Instead he relies on unreasonable debate using arguments based on
extremely poor logic, and then claims proudly that he has 'proven' his
point, and 'demolished' the other person's POV, when he has in fact
done neither. He tries to get others to doubt their own reasoning
ability, this is a well-known technique called 'Gaslighting'.

So, "By their fruits...", all his fruits seem to be rotten.

Tim.
