Chapter Ninety
Written Monday 17th of September 2018 C£ / 17th of September 6181 SC. Hello. Well, Greg, mum, James and me visited the Bryants in Theodore in Tuggeranong, Canberra, before God returned home to Perth with James. We had a ‘Catan’ night. Gerard played and so did Lorraine his wife. We had dinner and some potato crisps and soft drinks, playing in the room with the kitchen connected to it, the living room I guess. Michelle Bryant was there, who looks grown up a lot. She’s still in high school. It’s been years since I’d seen here, and she was still a cutie. I did a short video for the night which I put on youtube. A memory is when we came out the front door, and walked down the incline in the darkness to the road. Greg had rented a car for his time in Canberra, and we drove home reflecting it had been an enjoyable night with the Bryants, who have been friends of the family for many years. Gerard still works at Canberra Hospital, and there was a brief chat about their future plans of retirement, and when it would be right financially to be able to do that. That is of course an important lesson for us all – making sure we have a decent retirement plan in place financially to ensure we have the quality of life we want and desire in latter years. I queried Gerard whether he still had his stamp collection and he affirmed he did. Years ago in Cooma me and Brigid attended a stamp club meeting with Gerard at the bottom of the dirt lane across the road from where we lived at 6 Bradley Street. It was held in what was then the Cooma Baptist Church, but is a childcare facility these days from recent recollection. James and Greg returned home a little later, and life got back to regular course for me and mum. Georgia of course was pregnant, and she gave birth to her firstborn child, a daughter, just a few weeks back. Her full name is Natalia Madalene Pamela Mico. They contrived the name Natalia from Natalie and Talia, names they both liked. Natalia was a little small, but healthy enough. I saw her the other day when Georgie was in the back of her mum’s car when Brigid came around one afternoon. Rob visited not long back, and we hung around and chatted about the usual stuff we go on about. Apart from that it has been very quiet on the social scene. I’ve had my injections in this time for my schizophrenic condition. Each time Ian Pennel has grabbed a copy of the Canberra Weekly for me from the library. I asked if I could get one, and he doesn’t seem to mind jumping out of the van and getting it for me. Ian has ensured I arrange getting the medication for myself. There was an issue last time because of change in workers at the Anketell Chemist, so Ian arranged the ordering of the meds while this was an issue, but it was still my responsibility to go into the chemist and pay for the meds. Normally I have to do the ordering and getting of the medicine, but Ian will pick me up and take me for my injection. I haven’t been to the Mental Health group for quite a while now. Since Adrian left I have lost the desire and inclination to do as such. My home work on my projects has kept me busy enough, and I don’t see the need terribly much at the moment. This will change one day, but for now I am simply doing things at home, with a quiet home life, to continue to build up my collection of things and develop my online web presence. Probably, until mum passes (unless the world to come intervene) I will be here at home, with little other social activity. This will suit me for this time of life, and I think personally it is what I should be doing for now to develop my projects for life. I did get to Vinnies with Ian first of all the other day, and bought 3 cds for six dollars. I gave a tiny donation in the coin box, and was in and out pretty quickly. I will probably get a visit to the drop in centre some time before the year is up, but for now I am busy enough with what I do. My prayer life is quite consistent now, with established sorts of prayers. I continue to watch a lot of videos on youtube, and look at the Australian music charts each week. The Christmas season is coming up and I am not sure what mum’s plans are for the season. But I will make sure I have a good time anyway. I chatted to Phillip Modaferi the other day, my Auntie Molly's son, who lives in Sydney, on the phone. I was talking with mum about our info on grandfather Peter Paul Daly, Cyril's (Dad) father. She provided me with Philip's number, and I rang him, and he answered. I got some extra details for the bio I have written on grandfaher, and found out my cousins seems like a very down to earth and regular bloke. Mum chatted to him for a while after I was finished. I also emailed my second cousin Kevin Daly in America to see what information he might have.Dialogue with Marcus Low has been happening online at youtube and in email. I isuppose I do have a social life on facebook in reality where I talk with family and other people. Online I have quite a bit of social activity, so there are people talking to me in lfie. On Tagged which I have joined I get 'Buy Me Whores' emailing me every day. That's a bit of a sarcastic way of looking at it, but Tagged people would know what I am saying. In the end there is still enough going on in my life, and I am content for the time beings. As I say, life goes on. Bye for now.
