Multimodal Midterm Prompt

You have 30 minutes to complete your response. Read the prompt
thoroughly before
beginning to write.
In Phase One, you were asked to identify two extremes side of an
issue. Then, after much in-
class work, blogging, research and writing, you offered a middle
ground compromise for your
issue. Throughout this process, you made several rhetorical choices in
your language, tone,
style, fonts, colors and images.
In Phase Two, you are asked to identify a problem, analyze the
problem, and then offer a
solution to the problem. You wrote a script with a 200 word
background, and you created a
podcast. Throughout this process, you made several rhetorical choices
in your language, tone,
style, fonts, colors and possibly images.
Reflect on and write about the differences in the rhetorical choices
you made in Phase One and
Phase Two. For examples, what rhetorical challenges did you face in
Phase One that you are
not facing in Phase Two? What difficulties are you encountering in
Phase Two that you did not
encounter in Phase One? How are you overcoming those difficulties and
challenges?
