Instructions for groupwork:

Each group is to make one post. How to do this:
Everyone contributes, but ONE person types. The person typing also
contributes. Be sure I know who contributed what (for example,
“Chenzhi said…” “Matt pointed out…”“Bob thinks…”)
Analyze the following sources for authority, accuracy, currency,
objectivity, color, font, and image choice

Maria Chavez and Julia Vander Wal
This source is not credible.
Maria Chavez-There's no author and no references.
Julia Vander Wal-There is a disclaimer stating
that the website is made for fun, and it specifically states that
"You
are to take NO actions, make NO decisions based on the content of
this
website."
Maria Chavez-The colors are nice and contrasting, the text is easy to
read. The pictures fit with the topic.
Julia Vander Wal-There's advertising
everywhere, the information is not detailed; there are two
paragraphs. It's current.The copyright is 2003-2010.

1) Authority-Emily said, " Credits go to Virgil Wong..a film maker and
artist." Delana said, "There is no authority because this is a
hoax!"
Accuracy- Emily said, "You can't find any research on "Dr.Elizabth
Pretaner"." Delana said, "The finger scanner is definately a joke!"
Currency- We both said, "This joke was made in 2005."
Objectivity- We both said, "This website was made to make people
think you can chose which genes your child receives before he/she is
born!"
*The site doesnt give much information, but the colors are bright and
the font is small and doesn't catch your attention. Overall, the site
is pretty bland.

1.) http://www.dhmo.org/
The author has absolutely nothing to do with what the website is
talking about. I said He is a DR. in Computer Science, which has
nothing to do with the subject of the website. The links on the page
all connect to another page probably created by him because they all
have the same URL according to Hilary. It all seems made up and not
credible at all. The colors are plain and simple. And there’s
absolutely no information about the author on the website.
