Open up a Word document and copy/paste the following into the Word
document. We are going to listen to a podcast, you are going to
respond to the questions, and then we are going to talk about it.
When you are finished, you are going to post your responses here in
the discussion.
**************************
Your group will be asked to review either the Indiana Jones or
climate
change podcast. When you are told which one, do the following:
Identify the audience
Identify the purpose
Listen for the tone and intonation of the speaker in the podcast. How
does the use of tone and intonation apply to ethos, logos, and
pathos?
Listen for any sources to which the speaker made reference. How did
the sources apply to ethos, logos, and pathos.
How does the tone, intonation and sources used affect the audience
(relate these aspects to ethos, logos, and pathos). If you don’t
think
these aspects had an effect in this particular podcast, explain why.

In this discussion, I want you to post possible topics for your
podcast.
Take a look at the prompt:

In order to get ideas for your podcast, look to your outline for
sections of your outline that you did not use.
Or, look at the peer review your partner did for you last week, and
look at #5 in the Overall Content Concerns section. See if you can
pull an idea for the podcast from a/the question your partner asked
you.
Have a conversation with your partner for this week about your
possible topics. Help each other try to identify a topic.
When you are finished, EACH GROUP is to make ONE POST in this
discussion and tell me what topics you are considering for your
podcast.
