TIPS FOR SAVING AND FINDING IMAGES:
Read:

See student slideshow script examples:

General image saving information:
a. To save an image, right-click on the image and save it in your
'images' folder.
b. To get the url of an image, you generally right-click and select
"get image info" or "properties"
c. The name of the image will be the last element of the URL. For
example:
http://www.thedogisland.com/images/home_sm_1.gif
'home_sm_1.gif' is the name of the image. a. Where to find images
(you're not restricted to these sites). Remember that you need ALL
the
information (user names, web site name, image name, upload date, date
photo was taken if available, etc.)

5. You should be thinking about which image will go where and what
you
will be saying while the image is on the screen.
6. Remember that ALL of your images need to be cited in the
References
at the end of the script.

The image is a very important part of the slideshow and needs to focus
on what the subject at hand is and not just a "pretty picture." Now in
my phase three project I wont just choose any picture, it has to make
a statement.

I learned that the image is critical to express your point and they
can support or damage the point you are trying to make. I will choose
my images very carefully for my phase three project.

You need to make sure that whatever picture you use does relate and is
more of a enhancer for the topic at hand. It should help understand
more about what is being said. I will use this to get picture that
actually will relate and maybe open up viewers eyes on what is being
talked about. But I also want to make sure that they will make an
impact so that they will remember this and its not just a passing
thought.

After reading the information provided, I learned a couple of things
that I am sure will help me in my Phase Three. One thing that I
learned is that there are rules and limitations that we must be aware
of an dthat we must take into consideration. In other words, there are
websites that have restrictions and limitations to the use of their
images, so we must be careful in how we make use of an image. Another
thing that I did not know but learned today is that you can find out
information about an image by right-clicking an image and selecting
"get more info" or "properties." I am myself was having trouble
finding image information so this tip is definately going to help me
when it comes to citing images.

At first I was planning on not narrating and connecting my writing to
the images, but now that I read this I feel that I want to narrate the
images. In other words, I will try to connect my writing to what an
image is portraying. I am going to have to carefully plan what I am
going to say while an image is on the screen.

Also, there is one point that I had forgotten about, but that I will
now try to remember, and it is that all images must be cited in the
references list at the end of the script.

There are things that I already knew before I even read these tips, as
well as there were things that I did not know. I am going to make sure
to refer back to this discussion so that I do a good job on my Phase
Three. I am going to use these tips to my advantage. Now that I know
how get more information about an image, I will now be able to create
the APA citations for the images that I use in my slideshow.

I feel that images are incredibly important in a slideshow.
Obviously. Without images it is just large text up on a board.
Nobody like large text its obnoxious. All of my images will be
related to education and I will posibly include several graphs because
graphs can show a lot of information in a quick amount of time.
Everybody loves graphs.

I've learned that my images must standout and make a direct impression
on my audience so that they clearly understand what I am trying to
prove.
